FeatherPix Privacy Policy

At FeatherPix, privacy is not an option, it is the core of our architecture. This policy explains how we treat your data, and most importantly, how we do not treat your images.
1. Our commitment: 100% Local Processing
Unlike the majority of online tools, FeatherPix uses WebAssembly technology to process your files.
- Your images are NEVER sent to our servers.
- All compression, conversion, and resizing processes happen solely in your browser's memory (your device).
- We technically have no way to see, copy, or store your photos.
2. Data we collect
We limit collection to data strictly necessary for the operation and improvement of the service.
A. Account Data (If you sign in)
If you create an account via Google or Email/Password, we store in our secure database (Supabase):
- Your email address.
- Your full name.
- Your profile picture (provided by Google).
- Your application preferences (e.g., favorite compression settings).
B. Anonymized Usage Statistics
To understand how our tool performs, we collect metadata uconnected to image content:
- Number of images processed.
- Disk space saved (e.g., "150 MB saved").
- Formats used (e.g., "JPG to WebP").
Note: In case of application crash, no image fragment is included in error reports.
C. Navigation Data (Analytics)
We use third-party tools to analyze traffic and improve user experience:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Anonymous visit statistics.
- Vercel Analytics: Technical site performance.
- Microsoft Clarity: Interaction analysis (clicks, scrolling). Sensitive input fields are masked by default.
3. Data Sharing and Hosting
We never sell your data. It is shared only with our infrastructure providers necessary for the service:

Fonts are hosted locally on our servers to avoid tracking by Google Fonts.
4. Cookies
We use cookies for:
- Operation (Essential): Keeping your session active (via NextAuth).
- Analytics: Understanding site usage (GA4, Clarity).
You can refuse analytics cookies via the consent banner or your browser settings.

6. Security
Although no service is infallible, we apply industry best practices:
- All communications are encrypted via SSL/TLS (HTTPS).
- Passwords are hashed and secured by Supabase.
- Database access is strictly limited.
7. Modifications
We may update this policy. In case of major changes, registered users will be notified by email.
